Helmet Fit

To find the right size for your helmet, you need to measure your head correctly. To measure your head, you will need a flexible tape measure and a mirror. You can also ask someone to help you. Follow these steps:

  • Wrap the tape measure around your head at the widest part, which is usually just above your eyebrows and ears. Make sure the tape measure is level and snug, but not too tight.
  • If you plan to wear your hair up when riding, do the same when measuring your head. This can affect the size of your helmet.
  • If your measurement falls between two sizes, choose the larger one. You can also adjust the fit of your helmet with the dial fit system.

Helmet Care

To keep your helmet in good condition, store it in a place that has a moderate temperature and humidity, such as a tack room, a closet, or a tack trunk. Avoid leaving it in the back seat of your car, where it can get too hot or cold. Use a helmet bag to protect your helmet from dust and dirt. Before putting your helmet in the bag, let it air dry to prevent mildew and bad smells. You can also switch out the liners regularly to keep your helmet fresh and clean.

To clean your helmet, you can simply wipe or brush off the dirt from the outer shell. For the inner part, you can use helmet refreshers. These products are safe and gentle for your helmet. Do not use any harsh chemicals that can damage the polystyrene material of the shell. Also, do not put your helmet in a dishwasher, as the heat will ruin it.
