PRODUCT CARE & MAINTENANCE
We create superior quality products that will last, but with your help, it can last even longer.
FOLLOW THE LABEL
The 1st reflex to have is to check the instructions on the care label.
WASH LESS
For all our clothes, we recommend that you wash them only when necessary.
Machine washes contribute to the wear and tear of materials, closures, velcro, pulls and other finishes. They are also major consumers of water and energy.
Laundry water is thought to be responsible for more than a third of plastic microparticles found in the oceans.
USE ENVIRONMENTALLY FRIENDLY DETERGENTS
Preferably use mild detergents, also called shampoo, free of enzymes that attack the fibers of the tissues.
AIR DRY
Hang out your clothes in the open air and if possible outside. Turn coloured clothes over to prevent them from turning pale. Avoid leaving them wet in the washing machine for too long.
We do not recommend machine drying that prematurely wears out the products and uses energy. In addition, too much heat can be responsible for shrinking fibers. Indeed, hot water loosens the fibers that make up the fabric. At the time of spinning, the water evaporates and the fibers tighten. This is when the garment can shrink. The phenomenon of evaporation that leads to the tightening of fibers also applies with a dryer.
WITHOUT FABRIC SOFTENER, IT'S BETTER
The fabric softener makes the fabrics softer, but uses a waxy material that settles on the surface of the garment.
This can degrade the breathing/rapid drying effect, reduce the life of elastane or peel off the heat-bonded welds present in our technical clothing.
INSPECTION AND REPAIR
Regularly inspect your equipment for wear and tear, and promptly address any issues to ensure the safety and longevity of your gear.
